March 2010 Meeting

The next H.R.F.A. meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2010. The meeting starts promptly at 7:30 pm. Location: The Ridgefield Park Elks Lodge, Spruce St. and Cedar Ave., Ridgefield Park, NJ 07660.

One of my fishing mentors once told me that any successful fishing trip is at least 1/3 skill, 1/3 knowledge and 1/3 luck. Well at the March meeting you have the chance to get insider tips and tricks on the where to and when to (the knowledge), the how to (the skill) and how to combine them to make your own luck!

This next HRFA general meeting should draw quite a crowd of members and interested guests because many angling aspects, tricks, techniques, methods and maneuvers will be shared by the experts in those various fields or pursuits at the H.R.F.A. Annual Workshop. Here are just a sample of the topics that will be covered: This is the night to bring a few buddies who will want to join the HRFA with you.

The H.R.F.A. workshop includes....

Hudson River Hop Spots Out Board Motor Maintenance

Hackensack River Secrets Rod Repair / Reel Maintenance

Meadowlands Sweet Spots? Club Fishing Trip Info

Jigs and Jigging Techniques Fishing Regulation Issues

Fly Tying and Jig Tying HRFA Derby Info

Shoreline Fishing Spots Hooked on the Hudson Info

Environmental Issues Knots & Rigging Conventional, Spinning & Fly Gear

Remember…. 1/3 skill, 1/3 knowledge and 1/3 luck.

See you on Tuesday, March 9, 2010. Also, don’t forget that a great dinner is available for $10 (+tip) every Tuesday, thanks to the Ridgefield Park Elks.
